ORNAMENTAL TAILPIECE PANEL

A Ornamental tailpiece in the Ilkhanid style, traditionally used at the end of the Qur’an on its final pages. The inner section would often contain a supplicatory inscription such as “Completed with praise to God,” “Alhamdulillah” along with a dedicatory text honoring the sultan who commissioned the manuscript, prayers on his behalf, and a note indicating whether the work was endowed as a waqf for learning and study.

خاتمة زخرفية علي الطراز الإيلخاني كانت تستخدم في خاتمة القراَن، في الصفحات الاخيرة، وكان يكتب في الجزء الداخلي نص كدعاء “تمت بحمد الله” ويكتب وصف وإجلال للسلطان الذي أمر بكتابة هذا المصحف والدعاء له وما إذا كان هذا العمل وقف لله يستخدم للعلم والدراسة
